Chose not to recognize the Capitol police could find themselves in the awkward position of needing them sometime in the future.
Unlike them, however, the CP will behave professionally and do their job. They will be protected, just like anyone else.
This is called professionalism, a concept that escapes the likes of Green and Gaetz.
