You do not have to be a supporter of gun control to point out that Ted Cruz said, "When to disarm law abiding citizens you make them more likely to be victims" even though one of the people killed in the Colorado shooting was an individual who was paid to carry a gun. Also, I do not think anyone is trying to disarm law abiding citizens. Even if people had to go through back ground checks most law abiding citizens would still be able to buy guns. I assume the only law abiding citizens that would be prevented from buying a gun are individuals who at some point were not law abiding citizens.
