(70,490 posts)Unload the containers from the ship and let it float up higher and be done with it. I bet you can put some cranes
on boats besides the ship or on the ship itself to unload it. Those containers can then be put on trains or or flatbed
trucks.
BTW I have zero experience in shipping, trucks, trains, or cranes.
So take my idea with a large grain of salt.

(86,536 posts)I saw Ali Velshi talking with a shipping specialist last night. The way that guy described it, the whole situation is dicey as hell. He said the forward third of the hull was wedged in and raised up so there's a tweak on the hull already and it seems the biggest fear is that the whole damned thing could roll over at any point in the process. I sure hope, for everyone's sake, that it can be successfully righted and sent on its way. I'd be wanting some inspections before continuing on the open sea.

(10,357 posts)Loading and unloading requires specialized equipment and a detailed plan. Weight and balance is a huge issue. The area where the ship is stuck has no rail lines or roads suitable for your idea. Authorities have to make it up as they go. Using barges and smaller cranes would take weeks...
