The first episode of South Park came on and I woke my 12 yr old son up to watch it. We laughed at the show and talked about it before he went back to bed. That is how I dealt with everything. I told my son words aren't evil it's the people using them who are sometimes. I told him he could get a tattoo, dye his hair purple, or get stuff pierced. He did none of those things even though I encouraged it. I knew my son. I knew how straight laced he was and still is. Way more so than me.

Everything we are is genetic. Even how we respond to nurturing. People who forbid their kids to look at or listen to certain things make those things super desirable. How they respond to it is dependent on genetics and how you have dealt with it.
