16. I find many, if not most, song parodies corny and only mildly amusing, if that.

RR's over-the-top exuberance helps make his at least fairly amusing, and the (re)writing is often quite sharp and pointed.

Both had a very fertile four years.

But comedy is better, I think, when there isn't so much low-hanging fruit. Even the hackiest of the hacks could come up with jokes about the Orange Menace. When politics is no longer outrageous (which I don't see happening any time soon), the creative and truly funny people shine, at least in comparison.
