(6,112 posts)and my arm is really sore today. The first shot didn't hurt at all. But it may be sore because the nurse went through a vein and I bled a lot yesterday. Other than a sore arm, no noticeable side effects at all from round 2.

(24,330 posts)pretty much the same as having no shot at all. A tiny bit of soreness at the injection site on the first one, that's all. Never even felt the second one.

(8,408 posts). . . so I was prepared to be totally knocked flat after the second. But to my surprise, I had almost no reaction to the second shot. I noticed some body aches about 36 hours afterwards -- nothing too severe -- but they passed, and I was fine.

(24,330 posts)I've been getting flu shots every year after going over 50 years without getting any shots except for dental work, and that was only a few times. I've learned it is very important to practice relaxing your arm before the shot. It seems the better I get at that, the less pain there is.

(8,408 posts). . . I am a diabetic, and before getting an insulin pump, injected myself five times daily. So I don't get tensed up over injections.
