Amazon engaged in illegal union-busting activity during the historic union election in Bessemer, AL, that is likely to cause the election to be overturned, More Perfect Union reports in a new mini-documentary.

2. The vote was 2:1 against. For intimidation to make the vote just break even,

it would have required half of those who voted to be miserable cowards and weaklings too feckless to even just cast a vote to better themselves.

We know Amazon was doing to some bad stuff, but Amazon also agreed to some changes without unionization.

As for the failure to act in what WE believe are their own best interests, this is Alabama, intensely conservative, and I think we should assume the same corrupted and dysfunctional distrust and hostility toward Democrats and liberalism that infects too many Americans (including on the anti-Democratic left, not just the right) are strong there.
