Set Your Concerns Aside And Get Vaccinated. Do It For Others If Not For Yourself - Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow describes the concerns she had about her own health before getting the Covid-19 vaccine and encourages people who are reluctant to get vaccinated to consider how they'll feel if they spread the virus to someone else, God forbid someone they love. Aired on 04/09/2021.

It happened to a friend of mine, she wasn’t as careful as she should’ve been and she regrets it terribly but did end up giving it to her husband who is in the hospital for a really long time. Looks like he’s going to live!

Too many people never think of how they could also be spreaders. I got my shot #2 last week. *whew* Though I don't plan to change a thing.

Since the anti vaxxers are unlikely to be tuned into her show, though she may be reassuring to those who have been hesitant because they're anxious.

When out in public, within my own family circle, being with those who were vaccinated, etc.

My own daughter posts things on FB against vaccines, especially this one. What she fails to understand is that her age group, the 40 +, are getting infected now. My son snd DIL had their first shots. My husband said to our daughter that he did not regret getting his. Nor do I.

I will continue to mask, wash hands, keep my distance, be mindful of my surroundings . So should everyone in order to get back to some semblance of normal.

For those NOT vaccinated, will wish they had as more in their age groups get infected and perhaps die. This thing is not over yet as Rach we l so eloquently explained.

Plus, here in New York State, masks and distancing are required everywhere, groceries, pharmacies, gas stations, banks. No one is admitted without a mask and there are lines on most floors to indicate proper distancing, often one way aisles in stores, too.

And I don't understand those who are resistant, have run across a couple of those myself, but I kept them at an especially safe distance. It's impossible to change locked minds.

As for certain online forums, we know which are harmful and only exist to sell your information, it's too bad everyone doesn't realize that. We're lucky to have found DU since I learn something new and helpful here every day.

didnt waste my doses warning . keep wearing masks and social distance as you are still able to get covid whilst your anti bodies are forming.

I had my second shot 2 weeks ago as of tomorrow, but I don't intend to change anything, either. And here in New York masks and distancing are mandatory everywhere, so I'm grateful for that, too.
