A legislator from my state abused his own children for decades. Just reported. I believe he tried to resign, and his party refused to accept his resignation, iirc.

As a mom of a transgender girl, I find this idea that someone would pretend to be transgender to gain any advantage in society is ludicrous. As a species, we're driven to identify with our correct gender. Plus, once hormone therapy is started, any physical advantage a man might have over a woman is lost. She's entirely girl competing against other girls. If anything, if lawmakers are so scared their little spawns will be disadvantaged by stronger transgender women, allow hormone therapy to begin at puberty and all physical "advantages" disappear.
