It wouldn't be possible just to leave it out, though I sure wish we could, it's been not just unbelievable, but cringeworthy - and should be full of asterisks...

Schools need to teach kids about civics, real patriotism, they need to understand that just because a person puts a flag on their lapel, or they have a permanent flag in their front yard, that it is only for show, that their actions speak louder than those symbols.

... mostly caught my attention!

There was a recent poll in Ohio about Covid-19. While mask-wearing was supposedly close to 90% in most situations outside of the home, it was only 33% in the workplace!

Ohio makes an exemption for mask-wearing at work if an employee is totally isolated, of course, but also if an employee can allegedly always maintain at least 6 feet of separation from others in group settings. Uh, yeah... sure.

She tooShe didn't go into too much detail since we still don't know what the result will be yet, but I'm glad she reported what's known since I agree it's very important. We're fortunate here in New York, masks are required to enter any sort of store or business and it's enforced. It's just become a way of life here, I can't imagine life otherwise at this point. But I'm very aware of the lack of protections and rules in other places and I just don't get it - it's the way to stay safe. I'm also grateful that we have a governor who stepped up, I don't get those who think it's okay to forget the protections ahead of time - people are still getting sick and dying and you'd think they would notice and care - despite Trump.

... rules if management thinks a rule hinders production at all, but mask-wearing among employees should not have such consequences!

Despite how OSHA is often short-handed, some decent rules to help stop the spread of Covid should be helpful.

There's obviously MANY businesses that aren't open to the general public, unlike service industries where consumers can notice violations. Yet managers are often wary of employees who might report violations, so I think it could be very helpful in some parts of the country.

Of instead of covid-19 we were suffering a leprosy outbreak, would the brains in Columbus (or Chillicothe, or Zaneville -- all capitols at one time) have said it was OK for lepers to come to work without bandages as long as they didn’t get their leprous effusions on their fellow workers?

The 6 foot exception for mask-wearing among groups at work is ridiculous, easily abused by some reckless coworkers.

Ohio is finally down to about 4% for positive Covid tests, but there's no point in allowing another surge from stupid policies.

First I guess he needs to prove there were inconsistencies, then run a new one.
