"The Answer"? Giving Tucker a front row seat to the disaster that is STILL happening right now - in America, people are STILL dying, and although our new cases and hospitalizations are lessening, they have not STOPPED, the virus is still here, but where it is horrifying now is India.
I know that Shit-for-brains Talking Heads at the hideous Fox News pogrom do not care about anyone, especially not the brown people of India, but they better start listening to doctors and scientists and stop cherry picking the ones they can find that are willing to go on their air and distort or lie for access and cash.

A new variant known here as “the double mutant” may be doing a lot of the damage. The science is still early but from what we know, this variant contains one mutation that may make the virus more contagious and another that may make it partially resistant to vaccines. Doctors are pretty scared. Some we have spoken to said they had been vaccinated twice and still got seriously ill, a very bad sign.
I know that Fox News is very light on scientific understanding, and their audience is almost barbaric in their ignorance; but for fuck's sake people - viruses MUTATE, and when they do, they don't just stop...they acquire enhanced lethality and better transmission and their 'protein spike' (oversimplification, but its how the viral RNA is injected into host cells and what allows the cellular mechanisms to be highjacked into viral production until they die) becomes hardened to defenses - natural or vaccine-related.
COVID-19 is a bigger risk RIGHT NOW than it was when 3,000 Americans were dying daily. The conditions in India are so bad normally that a viral outbreak should always be feared there...but this is giving COVID a petri-dish like environment to spread through and to mutate further and to render existing vaccines useless.
This is starting to feel like climate change on fast-forward scan...the threat is REAL, the consequences are DIRE and the response is PATHETIC or totally misguided.
All I will close with is that this kind of problem - a rapidly mutating, easily airborne and transmissive virus and a global population being fed contradictory and even outright false information about it is a recipe for far worse than the 15+ month nightmare we have been living through...if people don't like masks required for public spaces, how are they going to feel about required SCUBA-style oxygen masks in urban settings or potential illness and even death?
The situation in India is majorly distressing. Combined with the mask-holes and GQP quackery in the USA, this is a truly frightening time - especially if the existing vaccines prove to be ineffective or compromised by the viral tsunami that is in India for a while but coming soon worldwide...
