Right wingers claim that there was billions of dollars in damages caused by the rioters. Why, to listen to them, city after city was burned to the ground, and thousands of small business men and women were financially destroyed due to the riots. They even use the BLM protests as justification for the riot at the Capitol Building.

It was all of that wanton destruction that forced states like Florida to pass draconian laws to turn peaceful protestors into felons.

Police precinct station. I bet if you strip out the affiliations of the perpetrators, it will weigh even more towards right wing wackos doing most of the property damage and most of the violence (another one killed three people with a rifle). Were BLM using bear spray and beating cops with poles holding the American flag?

Somehow our messaging sucks and can't get through.

Right wingers just can't wrap their little pin heads around the fact that a group of people have embraced the way of Gandhi and MLK and are engaging in peaceful protest instead of the anarchist bomb throwing of a century ago. Right wingers are light switch mentalities, any movement other than their own has to be Communist and destructive, never mind the havoc their own violence has caused, including the slaughter of unarmed black people by cops.

My marching days are over, but I know which side I'm on.

they mentioned the George Floyd protests and blamed BLM and the imaginary antifa as the cause.

I believe it affected the House and Senate and State level elections and that was the plan.

Everyone who called the protests, riots knew they were lying.

Meanwile, most of the film available showed police attacking demonstraters and provoking and creating the violence and all those weirg young white men, with back-packs, skateboards and sticks, breaking windows, burning police cars, etc.

The longest most obvious attack of course was the Bible/Church photo op in D.C. where those, not national guard troops, with strange not uniform clothing, attacked the protestors.

That was also referred to as a riot by some reports.

The NYT (alias failing NYT) says vast majority were peaceful BUT vast destruction. PLEASE don't say demonstrators did not do it but vandals not part of the group! REALLY? Have we gone so damn TRIBAL that we are also living in a burble like the FoxNews crowd? This is the NY T not the NY Post. We need more Blacks on the police force. We need more cameras and APPS for citizens. Fox will use future events to flip the Senate.

Quoting the NY Times

" Over three nights, a five-mile stretch of Minneapolis sustained extraordinary damage. The police precinct house itself was set on fire, ..".
