Maddow on tax breaks: it's true!

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by JudyM (a host of the Video & Multimedia forum).

Husband and I were just discussing yesterday (as we prepare our taxes) that there appear to be breaks that were missing last year. Especially a very helpful one for us- and I bet many others in this COVID year - the deduction for home office space, even though we are done paying for the house!

We thought - how come we aren't hearing about this? How could it have been implemented so fast if it's tied to new Biden admin?

Well, Maddow on her show last night provided at least part of the answer.

Anyone else experiencing this?

And what is taken from paycheck should be used for the government. No ability to change entitlements. Everyone everyone begins at 0 or 1. Then you get married, status change with marriage certificate. Same with children adoption or birth certificate sent to IRS for change. I know someone who is single who uses 10 for their taxes. Sure he pays in April but I don’t think that should be allowed.
