New Rule: Sex, Drugs & GOP
In his editorial New Rule, Bill reminds Democrats that they're supposed to be the party of free love and good times and to leave the uptight fun-sucking to Republicans.
Here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes the the entire interview with John McWhorter (7:20) and panel discussion with Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Rick Wilson (The Lincoln Project) (22:14), Bill's "funny bit" (38:06) and complete New Rules (47:00). It won't last long, as usual:

(53,956 posts)I liked McWhorter, but I wish he would have spoken more about his field and his new book. I can also attest to the fact he is funny, and not just "dad joke" funny. It is always interesting to hear a linguist talk about speech in everyday situations.

As soon as I saw him, I knew I'd seen him before. Nevertheless, I thought it was an engaging interview and I liked the panel, too.

(205,295 posts)Great guests and the humor is back - I think Bill was bummed out when he was quarantined at home, but things are more "normal" now that they're at least back in the studio. And the past couple of weeks he's had especially good guests. Originally, Rob Reiner was scheduled for tonight and he's always terrific - they said he's rescheduled, so I hope he's on soon.

(25,483 posts)I completely forgot to watch the show live online because I was binge watching a stupid Netflix series. I didn't know anything about John McWhorter and now will look for interviews. Good show. Thanks!
