It's a tough situation - and has been going on since anyone who is currently in office was even of age, most weren't even born. Jimmy Carter put everything he had into securing peace in that region, and though he achieved what no one thought was possible before, he only considered it as a beginning. And President Clinton gave it incredible attention, he even knew the makeup of neighborhoods in Jerusalem, but he was sabotaged by the specter of a Bush* presidency - and Bush* was the first U.S. president since the creation of Israel who gave it no attention at all. It's an ongoing crisis that the U.S. cannot solve alone.
