On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) joined FOX 11s Elex Michaelson and Marla Tellez to discuss the Republican effort to block the January 6 commission bill in the Senate, calling out Mitch McConnell for his hypocrisy and political cynicism. Schiff also discussed the ongoing investigation into the origins of COVID-19 and demanded that China be more transparent as America works to get to the bottom of what caused the virus.

(7,604 posts)IMO, this was Schiff's attempt to put GOPers on the defensive. Sorry, but it doesn't move the needle.
ACCOUNTABILITY IS A SIX SYLLABLE WORD!
Adam! Wake up! These are times for VISCERAL responses, not smooth roads at 80mph.
OH, God...

However, this is what needs to be done, go into the lions' den and face them all down. Make them splutter.

(258,808 posts)This wasn't FOX News, but I believe it was the local FOX affiliate in his area of California. We have one here, too - it's the channel that shows "The Simpsons." I used to work with the commercial networks, CBS and FOX specifically, wrote up the TV listings for the newspapers, and they showed programs like "The Simpsons," with news at 11 just like any network affiliate.

How you be, Dear Heart?

(258,808 posts)I'm not sure how that works, but the FOX channel has their news at 10pm while the ABC affiliate has theirs at 11. And there is confusion when it comes to FOX News. FOX News is a single cable channel, they show the same despicable programming throughout the country - while the FOX network channels have affiliates throughout the country and show local programming, as well as network prime time programming, just like affiliates of ABC, CBS and NBC.
And I'm hanging in there, I'm suffering from a never-ending sinus infection and my cell phone somehow got "locked" so I can't access anything and nobody seems to be able to help me and I've tried. Other than that, at least the snow's finally gone (we had one last storm in April!) and my dog is sleeping right next to me, and that's always a comfort. I hope that all is well with you...

(258,808 posts)My puppy is 15 now so I worry, but I've been lucky - his biggest health issue was an ear infection which took us 3 trips to the vet, but she was pleased that the meds we gave him worked. He just barked to go out, and I'm lucky he did that, too. During the winter he hated going out, but he never has liked weather...
Love you back!
Here's my Jack:

(258,808 posts)Just hates having his picture taken so I usually catch him when we're on the way home from the groomer or the vet - and he's so happy to be headed home that he doesn't care...
