I just wish we could ignore this a-hole. He's enjoying this too much.

Attention at the front end, money at the back end. I'm certain that somewhere there is a multi-million dollar account somewhere with his name on it. It is the only thing that makes sense to explain his recalcitrance. The explanations he gives for sabotaging Biden's entire plan -- and that's what he's doing -- serve no one but himself and Moscow Mitch. His explanations not only do not hold water, they piss all over the 70+ percent of Americans who want to see the programs put into effect. And that includes a sizeable number of Republicans -- red states have infrastructure, too, and not everyone is on board with the Repug leadership's efforts to annihilate democracy in favor of a single-party autocracy which will hold "elections" in name only. How the hell can you hold elections when the Repugs give themselves the power to overturn the results?

Back to Manchin. There's money involved, I'm sure. It's just going to take some enterprising young reporters to find it.
