(4,291 posts)Stephen and other late-night talk-show hosts have helped many of us keep our sanity over the past 15 months. By posting the latest videos here on DU, you help us avoid the ads and other interruptions on YouTube. Thank you!
I might actually stay up Monday night to watch the Late Show "live" with a studio audience again.

(205,320 posts)And that really was the reason I started posting these, think it was in April of 2017. The news had gotten so unbearable that the only way I could take it was through Colbert's monologues - with his humor. And I figured that my fellow DUers likely felt the same way, though I know most don't stay up as late as I do. So that's why I started posting Colbert's monologues - he always has a scathing take on the day's news - and he added humor which we've certainly needed over these past 4+ years. He's helped keep me going, too.
And then I added The Daily Show and Seth Meyers, since those are the ones that I watch. And my buddy TexasTowelie started posting Jimmy Kimmel so we got all the top political humor - and kept us up on the news!
