Delta variant threat looms large in states with lagging vaccination rates - CBS News



While many states with high COVID-19 vaccination rates are lifting restrictions and easing back to normal, states with low vaccination rates are facing increased coronavirus cases. The more contagious and lethal Delta variant could fuel further outbreaks. Lilia Luciano reports.

On today's news, 5 new cases were reported in my county in New York - now at 61% vaccinated.

but has fallen off considerably since then. I'm convinced it's because the state health dept. didn't get its ass out of the way, insisting on the cumbersome appointment process after adequate supplies were available to allow people to walk into pharmacies and get the shots.

I understand it is picking up now.
