I know this is ALL computer operated, but you just have no idea how difficult this really is.

I assume batteries of some sort, but what's the environmental impact of those thousands of batteries being used for our entertainment?

Just asking for a friend.

I would rather see the drones than the fireworks. I know I am a contrarian, but fireworks do so much collateral damage to our wildlife.

the lighting would take more than an AAA battery. They must be lithium, or NiCad. Lithium mining is doing untold environmental damage in the countries where it's mined.
Spain, Portugal and countries in S.A. are the usual sources we buy from.

I'm not saying fireworks are any better, but why do we have to have these pseudo-patriotic displays at all? None of them are environmentally friendly.

probably have been repurposed and put to some other task.

Even if they are specific to fireworks they can be put back into storage and reused over and over again.

They were used concurrent with the traditional fireworks as a backdrop.
