GOP Should Embrace 'Trump Shot' Instead Of Turning Against Vaccine - All In - MSNBC

“They should be telling everyone that the vaccines were the greatest achievement of the Trump presidency," says Chris Hayes of right-wing media. "They should be hosting MAGA rallies with mass vaccinations. A free MAGA hat with every shot. They could do that if they wanted to." Aired on 07/08/2021.

but Trump doesn't think strategically....he thinks only about his popularity numbers in the moment.. He continued to choose the wrong course of action (or inaction) at every step of this pandemic. 500,000 needless American deaths.

He could have taken action in January of 2020 when he learned how lethal this virus is, but it didn't affect him, so he dismissed it. You're exactly right, he could have made a different choice at any time along the way, but he only thought of his "numbers" rather than looking out for the people he took an oath to serve. Admitting that they were in danger only made him "look bad," so he chose to lie and/or ignore it when it would have been so easy for him to call for action, all he had to do was make a speech and then delegate. He even got his own vaccine in secret, unlike every other living president who did it publicly to encourage the rest of the country. Instead, by ignoring it and hosting superspreader events, he is indeed responsible for thousands of avoidable deaths...
