My octagenarian neighbor -- who was vaccinated back in February -- is in the hospital right now, but he and his wife are struggling to get him the care he needs. At first, they refused admission from the ER last week, and sent him home. Where his condition got so bad that the paramedics took him right back this weekend.
The hospital is seriously understaffed. The staff are overwhelmed and exhausted.
A minute ago the wife called me after speaking with the attending doctor. He broke his pelvis a week ago today and they're just now bringing in a specialist.
I hold the MAGATs who refuse to mask-up or get jabbed responsible for contributing to this sheer, shrieking healthcare-nightmare!

(7,430 posts)Why doesn't a CPAC knock-off form a parade of anti-vaxxers, with a truckload of caskets to follow up the rear? If anti-vaxxers want to end their lives early, or if they are excited by contracting a long-term or permanent health disability, why not go public and proudly proclaim your love for suffering and death?
I'd prefer that those who are willing to get infected and accumulate enormous medical bills should bear the costs of all of the medical attention that they intentionally bring upon themselves. If you want to play the anti-vaxxer game, you should pay the price.

(10,749 posts)Cheering for more deaths.
Cheering for no support from the government.
And, in turn, they are cheered on by the RW propaganda machine.
How much death and despair is enough for these monsters?
Vile doesn't even come close to describing them. Savage. Evil. Is there something worse than evil?
Where does this madness come from? Do they listen to themselves? Do their constituents cheer on their own death and destruction?
Part of me just wants to say, well, fuck 'em. They don't want support, fine. Delete their districts and reallocate resources to places that welcome the support.
