FDA Monitoring Rare Condition In 100 People With J&J Vaccine (MSNBC)

Health officials say they are monitoring an extremely rare side effect found in about 100 people who have received the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. While the chances of developing Guillain-Barré Syndrome remain low, it’s another discouraging development for the troubled vaccine.

Any of us who have taken care of Guillain-Barre patients will tell you that it is horrible. If you have had it they will tell you worse. We always got cases in the Spring and the Fall, the same time there were more cases of GI bleeding. Not sure anyone has a clue why, it has been a long time since I was doing that job so perhaps they know now.

That is one risk that would make me think twice. I hope there is no relationship to the vaccine.
