That’s why the next six weeks will be filled by direct action and civil disobedience in the streets across the nation. AA voters know that Americans don’t have the luxury of waiting until November 2022, the fight is NOW.

restrictive voting legislation

If they require a certain ID, then you do what is necessary to insure they have the correct ID. If the hours to vote are limited, you work around those rules, and vote within those rules

The biggest risk is those states that allow a partisan to overturn the results a statewide election. That has to be brought before the courts, and if the SC doesn’t strike that down then I agree it is over

I doubt anything will convince Manchin and Sinema to change their position on the filibuster

5. How do you work around legislatures that can overturn results and courts that will support them?

Marc Elias has said his lawsuits are only meant to buy time for congress to act, and cannot substitute for aggressive voting rights legislation.

I’ll repeat myself: focusing energy and resources on the November 2022 election in an effort to maintain the familiar, comfort zone paradigm of electoral politics as usual is a naive fantasy doomed to fail.

The fight is NOW, the next six weeks, and must include direct action and civil disobedience.

You may disagree, but many Dems in power know this to be true.

It doesn’t matter if you know it or not

Pelosi knows it
Schumer knows it
Schiff knows it
Warren knows it
Klobuchar knows it
Jayapal knows it.
Clyburn knows it
