(252,144 posts)It seemed to me like he made it a point to choose proven "disruptors." So far, it appears like he has done anything he can think of to obstruct and postpone this already too-long-delayed insurrection investigation.

(15,511 posts)I sometimes think both parties want some disruption from the other side, serving as scapegoats if nothing particularly insightful results from their efforts. Maybe I'm too cynical anymore?

(252,144 posts)But it sure appears to me that McCarthy's choices were clearly intended to obstruct/disrupt/further postpone this long delayed essential investigation!

(15,511 posts)If he's allowed on the committee, I highly doubt that Democrats will successfully order him to stand in a corner for a "time out"! Lol, despite how he'll surely behave like a petulant child.

(252,144 posts)That's what he's known for! The choice of Jordan was clearly one more effort to obstruct a serious and thorough investigation!

(15,511 posts)... it seems that's not going to happen. Based on Schiff's comments, anyway.
Oh, well. It's out of my hands either way.

(252,144 posts)And, like you said, she does have right of refusal. If it was up to me, and I don't know anymore than you do, I would not choose Jordan (in particular) for anything!

It is sad and pitiful behavior on the part of a certain type of white man. They are well aware they are transitioning to minority status.
It doesnt have to be like this. Adam, Jamie and Joe know how to behave like adults.

(252,144 posts)They'll show the others how it's done and won't put up with any %#@$ from McCarthy's ridiculous picks.

(4,043 posts)Neither of the three who voted against the EC count, who supported trump in his big lie, and who have already given public comments against the process of finding out the truth about the insurrection should be allowed in that group. I will be very disappointed if Pelosi does not exercise her veto power and sends those three packing.
Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows that Jordan is not there to find the truth, he is there to boycott the process, nothing else is in his mind.
