Nothing in the Constitution about that. I would imagine the first thing he would try would be to pardon himself and see if that works.

(53,776 posts)the republican nomination if he's in jail. He won't be the only candidate. DeSantis, .Cotton, Cruz, Hawley and whoever else aren't just going to give it to trump...especially if he's in jail.
The rest of the republicans and the nation hasn't gotten that crazy.

(2,065 posts)On the one hand, you have various legal prosecutors slowly closing in on Trump. On the other hand, you have Trump laying the groundwork for another presidential run. Who will get to the finish line first? As slowly as the prosecutors are moving, Trump just might make it into the door of the White House before the prosecutors get to him, at this rate.
