That the option is open to me where I can just wake up one morning and decide to start falling in love with men ... after a decades of relationships with only females.

Good to have that in my back pocket cause I had no idea this whole time I could 'choose' that avenue

(machine shop…noisy smelly “manly” environment) made that claim.

Me: Hmmm…you really think so?

Him: Yup.

Me: I wanna do an experiment. For the next minute let’s both check each other out and try real hard to get gay. If either of us gets a boner, you win.

Him: (wtf look on his face as I circle around him looking at his ass etc) Get the fuck outa here!

Me: You ain’t even trying! Do you want to win or not? (I turn around to display my backside to him) Anything? Anything?

Him: Fuck you!

Me: Now we’re getting somewhere! Anything? Anything? I didn’t think so. So shut the fuck up about it.

He didn’t bring it up again.

I'm pretty damn confident I do not have the capacity to make that particular choice. Like, although I've experimented a bit I won't lie ... I've never kissed a guy, and I don't think I would ever want to.

I don’t believe it had any experimental value at all…it was fun though.

how old they were when they made the choice to be straight.

Funnily enough, I've never gotten an answer.

And now I very seldom hear that "it's a choice."

and in too many cases, it's well deserved. Oh, they had zealots and scolds in the Middle Ages, too. It's why they had inhumane things like the scold mask and the ducking stool, the later persisting well into Colonial America.

I hope when this particular one sees her suit fall flat on its face, part of the judge's instruction to her is to cough up for a religious school if she wants to raise her child in that degree of ignorant piety.

not being a choice, but it certainly is more of a choice than sexual orientation is. Once one gets to a certain point of indoctrination, it probably doesn't feel like a choice. But it is possible to change, where gender identity is not.

It was even mentioned that she was being 'supported' by a Christian group. And since Ms Montague has waived the right to political correctness, I’m just going to come out and say that she is an unintelligent, probably unhappy woman, who after some chance comment has been co-opted by a radical Christian group who will be giving her attention, making her feel important and putting words in her mouth.

She'll be wheeled out for lunches and various events, told she’s special and I’m sure will be receiving 'help with expenses' that her new and exciting life as a hero to the cause present. Radical 'Christian’ groups have a long history of this, it’s disgusting, it’s immoral and is in many cases, abuse. They are feeding her ego and her bank account to extract her 'testimony'. I use the word extract lightly, since they are actually inserting terror own narrative there to take advantage of her perceived history.

If anyone doubts this happens, remember that Jane Roe of Roe vs Wade fame has told how following the court case, she was courted and seduced by the religious right. She spent a considerable period telling anyone who would listen how she regretted her decision to have an abortion and how it had 'destroyed her life'. She has since detailed how they moved in and gave her lots of attention and 'friendship' helped with her bills and life in general. They chose the vulnerable, coach them and use them.
