(205,115 posts)Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig did perform a national service by revealing the horror of TFG's last days in their book - but it would serve the nation much more if we heard these revelations while he was under oath!

(22,025 posts)Most former presidents retire quietly and keep their opinions out of the public square.
No so with Trump. He can't shut up.
Besides, he's the de facto leader of the GOP. Of course the press is going to cover him.

(9,951 posts)... He spoke to the authors of "I Alone Can Fix It" after "A Very Stable Genius" - why? I know attention-seekers will respond well to negative attention, if positive attention runs out. People who crave attention agree, "There is no such thing as bad publicity." People assume it's only money that has celebrities "Addicted." It's also publicity/attention. One kind of celebrity wants to see no stories, wishing for a return to anonymity. Garbo, for example. Another kind needs to see they are being written and talked about every day... even if it's negative; they need the attention. La Donald is the latter.
