The last good Republican, who in my view was more of a progressive was Theodore Roosevelt, after that it has been the same crap.
All the wars, all the bad things that have happened to this country have happened under the "leadership" of a republican president, and republican politicians.
People really need to learn how to recognize liars, you don't have to be an FBI or CIA interrogator to see it. Like Rachel Maddow has said many times, (paraphrasing) "Don't pay too much attention to what they say, pay a lot of attention to what they do." Once you do that you know who is lying and who is not, and my bet is that you will find that 90%, or more, of republicans are lying, their rhetoric is nothing but what their base wants to hear, and proof of that is that the flavour of the year is trump-the-buffoon, so there they are all licking his butt on every turn because they know their ignorant base loves to see that.
So for her and Wilson to have supported, for so many years, the republican party does not make this video and her act great. To support a party that doesn't govern, all the decisions they make are self-serving and the hell with everyone else, a party that only works for the elite class, whose modus operandi is cruelty, that lies about everything they do. When have they really been "the party of family values" when all they do is destroy families because of their cruelty and their corruption? Almost every week we learn of a republican who is gay, or a pedophile, or a sex abuser...DISCLAIMER: I am not anti-gay, that is a choice, but the hypocrisy is what I don't tolerate, they claim to be anti-gay and then they are found in another man's bed. or in a public bathroom looking for men.
Anyway...enough with my rant...I just become very upset when someone says "I have dedicated all my life, all my existence supporting the republican party because I believed...etc. etc." How can she have believed anything good from the republican party, she is only 45 years old, there is not one day during her life when the republican party or enough republicans have shown any goodness in them. I apologize to everyone at DU, but the fact that she is offended and has opened her eyes to what republicans are because of a policeman being black while she lived through so much horrible stuff caused by republicans, while she has lived through four years of trump? Please...only one thing had to happen for her to open her eyes?...sorry, but not good enough!
