(2,636 posts)"If you didn't know it was an insurrection, you would think it was a ordinary group of tourists." or something like that.
Fun fact: it was during the insurrection. It was not, in fact, a group of tourists. Tourists to the Capitol make reservations, and have nifty things like tour guides.
More fun facts: Wasn't Clyde caught on video being a scaredy cat barricading doors and scurrying away from the "tourists?"
Nothing about January 6 had Tourist written on it.
He's complicit, and his testimony reveals that. If they were really like tourists, he'd say that, and elaborate. He can't. He can't even admit the officers who testified might, just might be in a better position to evaluate what went on, since their actual lives were in actual danger from actual home-grown GOP domestic terrorists.
The 2022 and 2024 election ads write themselves. But for the effing GOP, we'd not be in a constitutional crisis, or another wave of more contagious Covid.

No stress there, nope.
If they voted against confirming Electoral votes, they're complicit.
If they voted to acquit in the 2nd Impeachment, they're complicit.
If they voted against Medals of Honor for the Capitol Police, they're not just complicit, but inside job traitors.
Expel the Seditionists.
Charge, try, and convict them. All of them.
