Majority Leader Schumer said yesterday there's a possibility of roll call votes today (haven't happened yet)

Wouldn't it be ironic if an important budgetary bill goes to the floor for a roll call vote and it fails 50-49 because the Chairman of the Budget Committee missed the vote?

... "it would have failed anyway" or "it would have passed anyway".

There's always an excuse. But personally, I prefer politicians who take their job seriously. This is one of the most important pieces of legislation that will be voted on this session and it deserves to be treated as such.

That's fair, right? That's a reasonable position for me to have, right?
