He’s part of the group that plotted to kidnap the governor of Michigan.

He was actually a pretty good kid.

The Taliban is trying to return Afghanistan to its "traditional" roots, 13th century medievalism, a tiny, religiously backed ruling class and a massive, uneducated (except in their version of the Koran) population of peasants, same as the "patriots" assaulting the Capitol. Well, almost. The Capitol insurrectionists (or, at least many of their co-conspirators) want a theocracy based (very loosely, often incorrectly) on the Bible.
