1. His stances have zero affect on his base

They still love him or should I say, have such a vile hatred of Democrats, he's a deity in their eyes no matter what his positions, no matter how much he lies, NO MATTER WHAT.

All the more reason for us to stay focused on getting as many Democrats elected as possible. GOTV!!
