But that's not to say Libertarians wouldn't go Fascist so long as they got what they wanted. Of course, a Fascist may eventually decide that they don't need the Libertarian once they have consolidated power (as happened to many German Conservatives that gave their support to Hitler, only to see themselves kicked to the curve (if they were lucky) once Hitler no longer needed them). Once Hitler got the backing of most of the generals (which he got be liquidating the SA), he no longer needed the traditional conservatives like van Papen.

Aside from that shrill tone, any dismissive argument regarding homelessness or struggles to keep above ground on unskilled employee incomes much less attend Ivy League schools? Who the fluck does he think he's fooling?
Protection of "private property" has gone so overboard the legal system protects the wealthy in so many ways, dispenses the tax breaks to the likes of Shapiro and others who gained advantage via nepotism. These "pull yourselves up by the bootsrtaps" arguments are getting increasingly "let them eat cake" in a literal sense: low income quite often cannot afford better than the fast food dollar menu.
"personal responsibility" and "freedom" now has become an ironic excuse for irresponsible behavior as many of the anit-vaxxers I know of stake claim to being "libertarian", many with their heels dug in so hard they'll lose their jobs soon.
Most telling of all: especially RW pundits who are claiming that the poor, homeless and struggling to make ends meet aren't "their responsibility"... ahem... while railing against social programs that could help and taking all the advantages the tax and legal system empowers them with. No mention of CEO's and other administrative personnel collecting millions in bonuses on top of exorbitant payroll from the backs of minimum wage slavery? Of course not! Have they ever slept on the streets? Lost their homes to inability to keep up payments or rent?
They're not just blaming the victim, they're blaming THEIR victims.
