59% of Republicans Say Believing TFG Won the Election Is an Important Part of Being Republican
Btw, the screenshot in the pic is from this news report about a recent pro-Trump event starring Mike Lindell and Michael Flynn, for which the organizers anticipated 10,000 attendees (lol):
Hundreds gather for We The People rally in Muhlenberg Co.

(19,193 posts)All fantasy, all the time. Tolkien and Rowling never never attempted to insert their characters into reality, though. This "Q" character did, and thus is dangerous, whether he/she intended that in the beginning or not.
It's a Trumpanzee LARP game, but they've taken it waaaaaaaaaaay too far. Time for them to get up, get out of their Mom's cellar, and rejoin reality.

(44,575 posts)because admitting to Trump's failure to win the majority of the electorate (yet again!) is an admission that they bet "all in" on the wrong horse.
And may the 40% of Republicans who CAN admit to Trump's failure continue to help independent voters put us over the top by a cheatproof margin.

at the end of a fucking fork.
And I imagine nobody wants to have to face, or admit, that they gave themselves over to hatred and resentment and poor sportsmanship. They simply MUST be right here. They HAVE TO be right. They HAVE TO be aggrieved. So as to prove they werent wrong at all. And that they didnt willingly allow themselves to be driven over a cliff, and worshipping a Faldo god that did the driving.
NOBODY wants to have to look themselves in the mirror and accept ownership of this spectacular fraud by a world class conman who sure conned the hell outta them.
Whod want to admit that theyre nothing but just another mark. With a bargain-basement price tag. The donald had these pathetic naifs on the end of a fork before he got up out of bed in the morning. These folks WERE his breakfast in bed.

Whatever it takes to win. Because winning is all there is. Vince Lombardi once said "winning isn't a sometime thing, it's an all time thing. There's only room for one place, and that's first place." My dad had that saying plaqued, and hung it in his office.

(3,922 posts)It's not just buying into to the D-level TV game show host as a POTUS; it's also about the entire platform of the republicans.
They're "pro-life" they say, but to hell with the mother's life, the baby's life (after it's born), the lives of Americans (they oppose health care for all), and the lives of people who are trying to not catch the COVID virus. So "pro-life"? No.
They're the "fiscally responsible" party, they say. Yet, virtually every republican administration in my life time, sans Eisenhower, has left the economy and/or the federal budget in ruins. Fiscally responsible? No! They simply just favor lower taxes, especially for the donor class (re: corporations).
They're the "personal freedom" party. Really? This one is laughable. They always take a hard "law and order" stance which is always directed against African-Americans and other minorities (see: the war on drugs). They want to limit the personal freedoms of women in regard to their health and their bodies. They demonize their opposition. They continually seek to limit access to the polls, also particularly aimed at minorities.
They're the "strong America" party. Again, laughable. Strutting around jacketless, and talking tough are republican hallmarks, but when it comes to actually managing the defense industry and our Armed Forces they are hopelessly inept - except when grifting from the taxpayers vis the military/industrial complex.
It is always the the JOB ONE of Democrats when they are elected to:
-Restore rights
-Repair the economy
-Get us out of the foreign policy disasters left by republicans
Then, they block any meaningful legislation by Dems and lie about us not doing anything.
They are the cancer on our country.

(5,377 posts)If any clear thinking Republicans find out that believing the election was stolen and 'TFG Won' is a prerequisite for being a Republican, they may yet change their minds about being Republican.
Any left? You know, those who voted out of family history, out of (misplaced) loyalty, and have deep inside themselves hoped and wondered when the party was going to fly straight again?
Just 'one bridge too far' type of thing?
Political movements and churches with extremist philosophies not grounded in reality and facts have a history of self destructing eventually.
I was going to say, I hope there won't be a Jones Town style cataclysmic event happening anytime soon, but it is already happening amongst the unvaccinated.
