I find myself wondering how the worst offenders were brought up. I’m a mom so I’m stuck. I go there. Were you allowed to do that without punishment - or worse, given your way just to shut you up? What does the ne learn if they throw a big loud inconvenient fit ‘cause they’re not getting their way, and because they did that, they wind up getting their way? They learned that such miscreant and antisocial behavior gets them their way.

Well maybe that works when you’re three years old. Grown men (and it WAS a vast majority of men) don’t get that kind of over-pampered forgiveness. They wind up force-learning the three-year-old’s lesson at age 42.
