Gottlieb says process for booster approval underscores need to "move quickly" during pandemic



Dr. Scott Gottlieb says the "slow, deliberative process that creates conflict that's visible to the public isn't optimal in the setting of a public health emergency, where you need to move quickly, and you want to show that public health officials are unified." Face the Nation 09/26/2021.

Up to the task of dealing with the Covid emergency. It was too bureaucratic. It's culture was just to commission studies, consider the results and then publish its time brings. Just not up to the practical task of moving quickly in an emergency.
And he was right!
