During a rally in Georgia, former President Donald Trump invited Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark to the stage, implying he was the Marine in a viral video who lifted a child over a wall at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. Problem is, the Marine Corps says it wasn't Clark in the video. CNN's Kristin Fisher reports.

(72,531 posts)... has been picking off Jan 6ers left and right. And just like the Jan 6ers, in a place with one of the highest concentration of cameras, film, tape, live uploads - on the front pages of even the West Bumblefark Gazette - in the world. He was in a unit, others know what he did and what he didn't.
He's in for a "World of Shit".

(3,465 posts)Who's surprised that a pathological liar would highlight someone who is not only a liar himself, but perfectly willing to accept what should be someone else's praise?

(197,171 posts)Years ago there were all these videos of people getting busted posing as military when they werent. Mostly right wing people I know on Facebook. There were lots of these videos. I couldnt believe that THAT many people were trying to pull this off. Confrontations at airports and just in the street. Maybe when I was in the Army I might be able to tell something about the uniform was wrong but I really cant imagine paying that much attention to someone. I never could tell if these videos were just staged or not.
