rarely come before me. This guy talks too much, though, and even if he is right, he ends up being a bit boring.

"proclivity for plump posteriors" - love it.

(5,722 posts)Bruce "DUI" Tinsley left the strip a while back, and after a VERY rough transition Loren Fishman settled in to continue the strip. (Who knew neocons were so picky about lettering fonts?)
Fishman's early strips also had a somewhat conciliatory "let us come together" tone that probably infuriated regular readers, but a quick peek suggests that Fishman has nailed Limbaugh-fanboy Tinsley's smug dickishness with cleaner but more generic-looking artwork, and readable text (something that always challenged Tinsley).
Tinsley still putters around on Twitter, occasionally popping up to yell at clouds and imaginary conspiracies.

(5,722 posts)Garrison claimed he and his wife caught COVID, but he's also claimed they're "100% well" (physically, not necessarily psychologically) with "total natural immunity" (hah) thanks to horse paste, beet juice, and God's "healing protection" (with which He's being oddly stingy).
I'd bet good money the delusional bastard never caught it, but now has a super cool story about how he's defeated the Faucis of Evil with prayer and "alternative" treatment. Still, it's never too late for reality, irony and Karma to get around to dealing with him.

(14,173 posts)I don't know what this guy has against him, other than maybe the need to try and come up with a left equivalence. Or perhaps that he's not like the RW comics, in that he criticizes Democrats too.
Overall, just like vocal comics, the overwhelming number of funny political cartoonists are liberal in their politics. Garrison and the like always come down like a hammer trying to get a sermon into a small box. They mistake "being funny" with making fun of someones looks, or changing their personalities into sinister diabolical psychopaths, and elevates their political stances to ridiculous levels of Stalinist communists. So overly literal too. The equivalent of a stand up comic having to explain his joke as he's telling it.
