You can say the same about every non-white group and our treatment of them through history. It's all been bad, and as a country, we do our best to ignore it all.

we even hung our own for landing while not being Puritan. I once argued with an airline pilot, rather forcibly that until 1848 55% of Northern Mexico belonged to Mexico, what we now know as our Pacific South West, and it was NOT unoccupied. The Louisiana purchase was bought from the French....who didn't happen to own it, really. In her defense, she was from Flori-duh and probably had no idea the Spanish landed on occupied land first there too. I just thought maybe airline pilots were a little more traveled and a little less ignorant.

And at the beginning, and ending, of the day, we are still one race, the human race.
