“people he doesn’t care for” is telling. Everything literally came down to his whim, his (unconsidered) flippant opinion based on more than loyalty but praise and adoration.

Spicer initial bit of nonsense about crowd size looked at the time as just ridiculous PR. It really shows that Trump lives in such a bubble that what he decides is the truth IS the truth.

I tend to think of him as an impartial news anchor (my mother watched him), but he's expressing more of his opinions, like Rachel, Chris and Lawrence do - and recently he's ended his show with videos from The Lincoln Project or The Daily Show.
