Co-director of the Center for Vaccine Development at Texas Children's Hospital, Dr. Peter Hotez, joined Chris Jansing to react to the new Covid variant just detected in South Africa.

NBC News' Raf Sanchez reports on the global response and Gary Grumbach shares what he's seeing at testing sites. "There's more we don't know than do know," Hotez says.

When he addresses complex, disturbing issues concerning the Covid epidemic, I'm reassured.

A welcome voice of reason and patience. Good man, good doctor and good father with a child that has autism I believe.
