They are also homicidal, given the fact that the health care system is so overwhelmed with trying to treat stupidity -- in the form of anti-vax or anti-mask beliefs -- that other patients who have treatable conditions are denied care.
Cases in point: of the six friends I've lost in the past 12 months, only two were COVID-infected, and they both passed away before vaccines were available. The rest? They had conditions ranging from bone fractures to cancer, and couldn't get treatment to help save their lives.
And as the new variant makes its way across the US population, I have but one wish: that health care facilities divert the stupid (i.e. unvaxxed) COVID patients to field hospitals -- in tents, if neccessary -- to gasp their desperate last breaths, and then be interred in mass graves.
I know this won't happen, but I am so tired of having to accommodate stupidity, when clearly so many others urgently need health care.
My other wish -- which will extend into the new year -- is that neither my loved ones nor I end up in an ER!
