The answer is there is probably something out there, but at this point it's kind of hard to say what.

It would be very unfortunate, as the doctor says, if this study were used by people to suggest long covid does not exist.

(8,329 posts)I would come home from work, eat, fall asleep and wake up and go to work. I was sleeping close to 12 hours a night and more on the weekend and was exhausted when I was awake. It was close to 3 months after I had Covid that I was back to sleeping 7 hours a night.

(32,639 posts)... were actually long-hauls that didn't make it. It makes one wonder whether it's better to survive Covid and have these lingering effects, or is it better just to succumb and be done with all of it? I don't know the answer because luckily I haven't been infected. But it's certainly a DAMN GOOD REASON to get vaccinated, and not become a long-haul.
The cost of the long-haul effects of Covid will break our insurance system, unless we make rapid changes to how this will be paid for. Just sayin'
