"Trump's Next Coup Has Already Begun," Reports Barton Gellman of The Atlantic - Amanpour and Company

Barton Gellman was among the journalists who predicted in 2020 that President Trump would not admit defeat if he lost the presidential election. Now, in a cover story for The Atlantic, Gellman says the former president is in an even better position to seize power. He speaks with Hari Sreenivasan about why he believes democracy will be on trial in the 2024 presidential election.

Originally aired on December 10, 2021.

Not a lot of people will come out to vote for a state's Secretary of State, making the elections by a majority of the minority.

And you'll have these fixers ready for 2024.

And it doesn't matter if it's Trump or another republican nominee for President. They won't award the votes to Biden or another Democrat.

It's the system, not the nominee.

I'm uncertain whether the new SOS's can be impeached and/or removed if the USSC may endorse their actions.

The system working properly is predicated on officials acting in accordance with the will of the voters, rather than installing the fascist dictator they favor.
