Rand Paul Opposition to Previous Disaster Relief Resurfaces as He Seeks Aid for Kentucky

In a statement to Newsweek Sunday morning, Kelsey Cooper, a spokesperson for Senator Paul, wrote: "Kentuckians across the commonwealth are suffering and grieving today. This tragedy is uniting everyone around the common goal of helping and healing. Politicizing that suffering would be low for even the deepest partisan, yet here the corporate media is trying to do exactly that. Newsweek should be ashamed of themselves."

Fat chance. The media are not our friend, yet the Repugs have successfully painted them as so for at least half, if not the majority, of all Americans.

it was either CNN or MSNBC. They had on Russell Honore' who ran the disaster relief for Katrina. The reporter questioned him for a while about what needed done. She was ready to move on and thank him when he butted in and said that Mitch McConnell should take Rand Paul under his wing to push for supplemental funding for this tornado because he held that funding up for Katrina for a year. The reporter was a bit stunned, had no reply but to thank Honore'

to help out with the Kentuckians and their misery from your hypocrisy, why aren't you out there with hat and gloves on removing the debris, that would save some money from the federal taxpayers that will be bailing your state out, see the logic........

He's also engaging in PSYOPs. By sending such a letter to POTUS before POTUS actually signs off the aid (which will inevitably occur) he can claim that he is the one that caused the aid to happen - and any non-thinker (about 60% of the population) will believe it.

In addition to being hypocrites and unswerving assholes, Republicans take credit for things they didn't do - even good things that they're on record as opposing.

For trumpism and conservatism in general.

It selfishness!

They don’t want anyone else to get anything. They are the only ones deserving of anything.

And they claim they are Christian

I want to help states that have had a disaster.
I also want America to remember that many states did not want to help the northeast after Sandy. They said we were on our own!
I want that understood and remembered!
Rand Paul is a pile of puke.
