Not one Republican member of Congress who texted Mark Meadows on January 6 has voluntarily revealed themselves to be authors of texts conspiring to overturn the election. Lawrence O’Donnell says the proof of their fear of being revealed by the House Select Committee Investigating the January 6th Attack on the Capitol is their silence.

2. Their silence is a calculated strategy to keep these stories from dominating the media.

If they turn it into conflict they will give this story legs.

What our media knows more than anything is that conflict stories draw attention and ratings (sales). People who would never dig into confusing details will stop in their tracks to watch a fight.

Some factual truth may even saturate the MAGA wall of ignorance if they hear discussion of it.

Someone it was forwarded to? (Or not?)

Meadows himself? (Or someone related to him?)

I guess the leaker is not in on that strategy.
