(12,257 posts)voting no on what Manchin retrofitted to his liken is illogical.
Greed, money and power is the GQP way, and that my friends I come to the conclusion is why he is voting no. It's not about inflation which is slowly dissipating, and BBB was help wipe it out. The Democratic Party is a big tent, but shit, this is in your face "fuck you" USA from Manchin courtesy of the GQP.

(6,265 posts)is one of the sharpest tools we have in Congress at this time. It is well worth my time to listen to her. And I did not trust her in the beginning. I thought she was in it to be just a pretty face. I could not have been more wrong.

Just because a woman (or a man) is beautiful doesn't mean they don't also have brains!

(6,445 posts)She is the future of our party as she possesses the same great intellect, insight and ability to succinctly help people understand and demand that beneficial legislation which will improve their lives be passed that FDR, JFK, and LBJ possessed. However she uses those skills in her own uniquely effective way 👏

(823 posts)This is all on Manchin. He lied to the President and the party. If the bills had not been separated, as I recall, nothing would have passed. The idea that Manchin would have been forced to pass the legislation when it was all one bill is laughable. Half got done, the other half he lied about. He would have sunk the legislation in toto if it had been presented that way. What would AOC have done differently to force Manchin to vote how she wanted? I want specifics. This is not a democratic leadership problem (although it is best to frame it that way if you want to take over the leadership), it is a Manchin problem and he does not give a fuck about anyone but himself and his donors. Period.
