'Criminal Referral?' 45 Under Pressure Amid Planned Election Lies Event On Jan. 6 Anniversary - MSNBC

In an escalation in the January 6th riot probe, investigators are considering whether to send a criminal referral to the DOJ to investigate evidence of criminal conduct by Donald Trump and others, according to The New York Times. The Committee is also seeking its first interview with a House lawmaker, GOP Congressman Scott Perry, and planning televised hearings for next week. Aired on 12/21/2021.

Or at least charge him on that day. I know it’s not going to happen but that would be so sweet.

I think of something I read about the Roman Empire. There were 2 Visigoth brothers who had at times fought for the romans, both were very able generals. They revolted against Rome and the Roman master-general was sent to deal with them. It’s been a long time since I read about it but I think he got the one brother to remain loyal to Rome. The other one continued the fight with a few hundred followers. The master-general went to arrest him and he fled. The Roman built a gallows and swore that within a year the rebel would be hung there. The Visigoth guy was very adept at tactics, particularly the use of horses and the Roman chased his band around with the brother always managing to slip away. He had him surrounded but the Visigoth managed a daring escape over a frozen lake. His band broke free and climbed a nearby hill. As they topped the hill, there was the gallows. Exactly one year since it all started. The general walked into the rebel camp alone that night, he had them completely surrounded and the gallows was right there. He ended up offering the Visigoth immunity if he would rejoin the legions, which he did. Anyways I always remember that though I’ve no doubt forgotten some stuff over the years.

No immunity for TFG but I’d love to see the bloated orange pig charged, and make it very obvious he’d been completely out maneuvered.

And it would be especially appropriate if his perp walk preempted his threatened "speech." What worries me is whether the lawmakers could blink because of the very real threat of another violent insurrection crowd.
