Trump Allies Are Suing Riot Committee To Sabotage Investigation - Ring of Fire

Donald Trump's friends and allies are doing everything humanly possible to slow down the efforts of the January 6th Select Committee, with Michael Flynn and Alex Jones filing lawsuits against the committee this week to prevent the release of their personal communications. This has less to do about Constitutional rights and everything to do with their apparently concerted efforts to protect Trump at all costs. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

1. It's all about accountability. T**** has skated through his whole life without being held to account

for any of the blatantly illegal -- and immoral, for that matter -- acts he's foisted on the rest of the world. By prizing loyalty to himself above all else, TFG has built an almost impenetrable wall which isolates him from the consequences the rest of us would suffer if we did the same thing.

The MAGAts who attended the insurrection are finding to their chagrin that their Beloved Leader's ability to avoid consequences isn't passed on to his acolytes. If they attack the Capitol, they are arrested, found guilty and end up in jail, even if they're "white, rich and blonde," as one woman said. They will have a criminal record that will follow them the rest of their lives, if they are young, or destroy in a moment the reputation that took a lifetime to build.

Like the book says, "Everything Trump Touches Dies."

The Repugs taking over the House is being put forward as an inevitability. Is that true? Is there no way we can hold onto it? Isn't there some way to get voters to see the lifelong hell the GQP has planned for them if they regain power?

2. I couldn't agree more, I have Mary Trump's book

And I understand why he turned out the way he did, he never has had to face consequences. But his "followers" aren't so lucky. The one thing I really do not understand is why anyone would be drawn to him in the first place. Every single thing about him is offensive. But this is why it's essential that he's shut down, whatever it takes. Even if it's just his illegal business practices in New York, like Al Capone, he needs to face consequences and be put out of circulation.

Delay but also the reason the J6 Cmte is taking so long in making sure it's done correctly. That's how Pelosi functions and how this should be done because... lawsuits and an unpredictable judicial system.

If the Dems lose the House in the fall, all of this will come to a screeching halt on 1/3/23. Get it done, get it out and get on with other business. Yes, this needs to be first, but get it done!

The invites to testify and the subpoenas are the last stage for the idiots to make their plays, showing us all the while why what's coming is so well deserved. They can refer these bastards to the DoJ without announcements too. I think the DoJ is letting the J6 bunch do their things yet will have swift results shortly after as a lot of the investigating will be done. It gives the DoJ cover when the the morans get uppity about it.
